Hello Prague nextbikers,
during the pilot cooperation of PID Lítačka with bike sharing providers in Prague you showed that you are fans of bikesharing and want to have it at hand. Thank you! Thanks to this, Prague has decided to include shared bikes into the Prague Integrated Transport system in the long term.
As of 25 April 2022, the rules of the 15 minutes for free game will change to 2 times a day!
Compared to the past, the number of free rides per day will be reduced by 2. Why? According to statistics, the vast majority of people ride about 5 min 2x a day. Therefore, in view of the financial situation, Prague is reducing the number of subsidised rides from 4 to 2. We hope this doesn’t disrupt your sensational pace! In case you’re a longer distance rider, check out our convenient subscriptions and ride the nextbike to your heart’s content.
How do I ride for free with the Lítačka?
As in the past, you just need to have an active nextbike account and your 15 minutes 2 times a day will be automatically activated when you rent. 2 rides are valid for both nextbike and recumbent – so if you like to mix colours, the benefit works out to 1x ride a day with us and 1x with recumbents.
And finally, some nice numbers
Since October 2021, almost 12,000 people have used the free bike rental and the total number of rentals has exceeded 164,000. Up to 77% of these new bikesharing users have sniffed enough to travel with us repeatedly. The most frequent times of riding are in the morning rush hour and then between 2pm and 5pm. And that frees up a lot of capacity for public transport.
