How was 2021 for nextbike in numbers?
Collectively we’ve done over 2.1 million rentals with a total mileage of 3,086,530 km. If we took that as a relay around the Earth, we would have circled it 77 times. WOW! And now, purely theoretically. If the same amount of kilometres were covered by car, it would mean a burden of about 343 tonnes of CO2 for us and the planet. What does that mean specifically? Well the average adult tree absorbs about 22 kg of CO2 per year. Then the theoretical environmental output of our wheels (and your feet) for 2021 is about 15,600 trees. And that’s a big forest.
