Did you know that with nextbike, you don’t have to go straight from point A to point B, but you can also take a break during your ride? With Nextbike, you can temporarily park your bike outside an official station and return to it when you’re ready to continue.
How does it work?
If you want to stop by a shop, grab a coffee, or take care of something at an office and there’s no official station nearby, you can temporarily park your bike outside it. Simply select the “park bike” option in the app and lock it. Your bike will remain safely in place because your rental is still active, and no one can take it away. When you’re ready to ride again, select “resume rental” in the app, the bike will unlock, and you can continue your journey.
The “park bike” function has no time limit; you can temporarily park the bike for 2 minutes or 2 hours. However, there is a maximum limit. The maximum rental period for nextbike, and therefore the maximum time the bike can be parked, is 24 hours.
