The conference “Try Change”, organised by Pěšky městem, brings inspiration and know-how for creating sustainable urban spaces and achieving lasting change in the Czech Republic and worldwide through tactical urbanism. The conference will take place on 12 and 13 October at CAMP in Prague under the auspices of Deputy Mayor Zdeněk Hřib, the Czech Chamber of Architects and the Ministry of Transport.

The conference “Try Change” will introduce tactical urbanism as a means of quick and inexpensive transformation of public spaces. Walking through the city aims to change attitudes in Czech society and shows that new solutions do not have to be painful. We are proud partners of this event and fully support it, because we know how important it is to make these issues visible and to take inspiration from good practice from abroad, where it was easy to do.

The star of the conference will be Janette Sadik-Khan, a world expert on transport and urban transformation. Other speakers include international experts in tactical urbanism. The conference will offer inspiration and concrete examples of how to create sustainable cities, not only in Prague, but across the Czech Republic.
